Fasteners - Where to buy in lower mainland

Post by caesarDX »

Hi guys. I am refurbishing the mini seat struts on my M3
and as a result need to find new fasteners. There are two
types that are used. One without caps (#1) which seemed
readily available and one with caps (#2) which seems a little
hard to find. Anyone have any leads?

There seems to be some from England but I would rather source
locally if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Thanks... there's one that's close by in South Vancouver.
I will try them in the morning.

I use Fabory Metrican for my own stash, and for work as well. Because they are a European company, you'll find many of the German, French and Italian fasteners that other countries don't seem to utilize.

The problem is - $50 minimum. For me there seems to be a few years between orders.

Byron,
Their online catalogue is sick. It has everything that I need.
At least I know where I can get them even if I have to
Pay a premium. I'm not giving up yet. The hunt is on.

Who knows? maybe the BMW dealer has them.

Thanks

Specialty orders a lot of parts from these people.

Thanks Keith.

It's always good to have other suppliers other than the dealers.
Most of my stuff has been sourced across the line. I actually found
all the clips I am looking for. I had to play detective to find the
Part Numbers. Between different vendors and websites most parts
are available. Quite the difference in prices though.

I will give these guys a shout and get prices and
availability from them.

1989 maybe not old enough yet.

I had a 1988 M3 a few years back. They should have it in their classic department. I remember buying almost everything I wanted from the dealer. I wouldn't use any of the dealers up here though as their pricing is out to the moon!

I find Fastenal does not stock all metric, they can get it, but they bring it in from US. Pacific Fastners has always had everything i have needed in stock. They are on First Ave 2 blocks off Boundry
