Name that Mullet! 510 Club of BC Blast from the Past

Post by Byron510 »

OK, more for the local BC guys - bear with me.

While going through photos tonight, I found the following two photos of a fun run we did in the early 90's over the Duffy Lake. The photos themselves bring back memories of the run.

BUT - it's the players that got my attention some 20+ years later...

Can you locals name these guys? in photo 1:

I looked at the 2nd photo last night, and those whom I could identify were from L to R;

Darcy C., Rick O., Noel K., Randy T., Pat R., I had to laugh when I realized the next guy was me, Jason K., Roy G., unknown face behind Roy (Scott R. maybe?), Jamie M., and either Rob or Matt F behind Jamie - Likely Rob as I have him in the photo above.
Can anyone confirm this list? Man this goes back a year or two - brain's fuzzy and all after all the carbon fumes I’ve taken in over the years.

One thing all of us can laugh about - check out the camera's that both Darcy and Jamie are holding...

I'm also holding something in a gloved had - so either I was working on someone’s car and holing a pieces of it, or I'm doing my best Michael Jackson impression :D

Good times, good fun.

photo 1 (L to R): The RCMP member from Squamish, Noel K., Jason K., Jamie M., Roy G., Pat R., Rob F.

...was that RCMP member's name Sean Aucoin or something like that?

photo 2 (L to R): Darcy C., Rick O., Noel K., Randy T., Pat R., Byron M., Jason K., Roy G., [Sean's brother-in-law], Jamie M., Rob F.

the mystery face in this picture (3rd from the right) was Sean's brother/brother-in-law who rode along with Noel (even though he was an RCMP guy or something like that - most people that day didn't know what he actually did for work, but he thought the whole day was a complete hoot and had no problem with any of it, but Shane had problems when we played the video at the 510 club meeting at the Scott R's place later that evening! :P)

Also, Byron, those are not work gloves; you wore "fancy" driving gloves that day. They are visible for a few seconds in the video I shot on Jamie's camera.

In a way, that day was a pivotal turning point for the local club; it marked the start of the HP wars with Jamie Mitchell's new-era Andy-built 2.2L with the V912 head etc...

Good memories...
