2007 Club Calendar

Post by rnorrish »

Hey all,

It is time for me to be working on the club calenar.

A little backgroud: a full 12 month, full color, 510-only calendar, devoted to the club and it's activities.

I need from everyone:
your bestest pictures. we want to see some fresh cars!
and your greatest events. knwo of any annual, or not, events you want to be reminded of? even other car club's shows? show 'n shines?

the only problem I face currently is I won't be here for the Christmas party. This is the typical time to try and distribute them to save on postage.
There is also a slight time crunch.

This years the Christmas party, and therfore my deadline, is the 9th of December.

SEND IN THOSE PICTURES!!!

and don't post them here - we all like suprises!

if no one from our club replies - i won't see a problem with it!

I have seen some nice shots of yours, and they could definately make the calendar. I have never known there to be a specific mandate for the calendar to be for BC/CLub cars only either.

Members? Any input? What do you want to see?

If it's a creation to be appreciated by all - print it. Any 510 should be worthy, shiny or not, complete or not. Who says it needs to be a show queen to make the calendar. Not sure how everyone else feels in the club, but any 510 should be worthy of print in the calendar, and I know Rich is capable of doing artistic stuff with any photo, you just need to get the photo's to him. Send one, send all - I know Rich won't let us down. My beaters have been in the calendar in the past, just because I now own a shiny one doesn't make any of the cars that I've previously owned less worthy - that's just not the case!

How can I get one down here in California? And a 510 realm sticker would be cool too.

the calendars are part of the yearly subscription/membership to the 510 Club of BC.
we are a real club, and have monthly meetings, including an AGM/BBQ in June, and Holidays Party in December (the 2nd this year). we publish 11 (-ish) newsletters, plus the calendar.

I could possibly do a second run/more copies, and figure out a price if people wanted just a calendar.
but if you really want, for $40 a year, you can get a club membership...

Say Richard, don't forget the club cruises too  ! I got some nice shots of msaunders KA24DE swap yesterday, nicely done too! I think Rob got some pretty neat shots of the autocrossing weather today including the walking tent of Kevin's and the nice hockey stop Cam made with the side of his wagon keeping the tent on the runway!

I haven't received anything from the cruise from anyone. no pictures, no write up.

Rich, I have lots to send, from cruises and shows/events - to much to mail, maybe we should get together and you can take what you need. But I won't be back in Vancouver untill the 26th. I will get on it right away when I get home.

I knew I forgot something! you do get a sticker - just a different one! we also have a club sticker... does someone have a quick snapshot of one?

we do need Spencer, or someone, to make up more 'realm' stickers though.
I have had a cute blonde chick follow me through a store becuase of mine!

and by cute chick i mean Spencer's sister.

You will get 2 stickers with your membership, but they'll be 510 Club of BC stickers. This site belongs to one of our members, but the club doesn't have any of the decals specific tot he site. I got mine from Spencer years ago - before The Bronze got painted bronze!!. Maybe Spencer can get in on this one.

BTW, I'm the club Registrar, info is at:

http://www.the510realm.com/Article18.html

Look forward to signing you up. We had many members stateside over ten years ago, but the US membership has dwindled to a couple on and off’s.
