Just some updates.
Had the blue lake show, couldnt register since i judge every year, which always stinks, but as usual Art had a huge amount of pictures taken of her. We had a moment of silence for art, and another datsun owner that passed away (know im butchering his name) Enrique, he had the roadster.

Getting a blue bird grille for my purple 510, its a remake, corace on ratsun.net is making these, they are GREAT quality, look damn near like the real thing, but a quarter the price tag, and you can tell from behind they were made from molds. Heres some pics. This with my Carol shelbies are going on Purple.

Then i finally got to bring these home, brand new carol shelby mesh wheels, old as heck, were brand new in the box, have brand new 13" tires on them with only 6 miles on them. Now heres the hard thing ive been trying to decide. I want to put them on purple..but i was also thinking i may want to put them on Art, and people dont start with the stock thing on it, because the stock wheels would go back on for big shows like canby, blue lake, and if i come up to canada show like im hoping i can next year. They would be put on for going to little get togethers, cruises, the drive in meet down here, cruising the gut, things that involve alot of driving. Reason why i think this is the set of tires on art right now are showing their age, i have ONE set of stock tires left that are new, after that finding new tires is going to become next to impossible for her that look stock, and i also need to recondition a hubcap after someoen who test drove her with art ramned her into a curb and destoryed a hubcap :(. Ive had some people make comments about my wheel idea, and then others that understand what i mean, id rather wear down, adn take teh chance of a nail into my shelbies with 13's that i can still find if i look for them, compared to stock 13's that are next to impossible to find new. Anyway here are the wheels.

I got one new set of 13's for these put up, then the last new set of 13's for the stockers. Art has been doing great, she still drives great, and just as clean as ever.

As for purple, she will be getting a bit of a face lift, i just want some changes with purple to set apart from art since both 4 doors, i just want her to look and feel different.
Some more random pics.

Dan, the bra on purple - is that the same one the used to be on your dad's brown car?

Man I loved that brown car, it was the inspiration for going a tone of brown for the Bronze.

13" tires are readily available from Coker Tire, they are 155 R13's and are Michelin's. I bought a set for Ole Blue.

You should put a Coupe grille on the blue car and snap a pic, just for giggles, maybe with the CS wheels too. Who knows, it might be a keeper!

Dan, you do what you have to do to keep Art running and showing. If the Coker stuff doesn't work out and you need to turn to something like the CS wheelset, oh well. Bigger shame to limit her outings.

Been looking into coker, i have one set of new tires put up, its just as time goes on, its getting harder since they are reducing the making of 13's and 14's even :(

And i planned on mocking the grille up on blue just to make some shit their pants.

ANd byron the bra on purple right now is a new one that ws in the box...but some reason the mesh disintegrated, so i have to find a place to re do it, now for the brown cars original bra, thats hanging in my garage :-D When i get the fishnet fixed on the new one (and the new one will be going on art to prevent rock chips, im stretching it out on purple right now, the old one also needs repaired, the tabs on the sides that go under the fenders are falling apart after so many years. The new one i found in my moms storage unit when we moved her, iw as like YOU KIDDING ME, brand new, just damage fishnetting. Figure it would look great on art when going down the highway to stop any more chips that could happen. Everyone wants the bras, and i wont give them up LOL.

And i miss brown, always got to me the kid that bought it re painted it red...sigh.

I wondered what ever happened to that car. Dan, you must have been young. The last photo I have of that car was at the All Nissan Meet at the Museum of Flight and Transportation in about 1992...

Like I said; that car was the inspiration to go a shade of brown on my 510. And the bra looked really good on that car.

And I'm going to pretend I didn't read the part about the bra, Rikens and a JDM grill on Art.....

The pics will really freak some out, i cant wait for it :). I have to pull the front end off art to do a few things anyway, have a oil drip that i need to investigate before it has a chance to get any worse. Will give me a chance to do a nice cleaning, and adjust the new struts some more. At least the bra goes on and off, anything to prevent any rock chips works with me.

Perfect. Straight from the '80s. I love it.

I look at photos of 510s my dad took from Nissan car shows... Man, even back then people had good looking cars.

This one is probably my favorite. Aside from the louvered hood, I like it a lot. I'll probably go for that same look when I get my own 510. ( Preferrably a four door though, I love four doors )
