OK - that's pretty cool.

WOW
If I had more engine knowledge a project like this would be in the works. That is an amazing kit.

See the comments? Prices quoted at 32K for just the head... ouch.
Re: OS Giken for L-16 article, very cool
OS was saying ~$24K for the TC24 at SEMA. TC16 has to be cheaper. Probably won't get much change from a $20,000 bill, though.

Is there honestly a customer base for a DOHC head for L series at 16-36,000$ O.O
With retard prices like that why would anyone consider, Modern DOHC engines are superior at 1/16 the price.

Depends on your angle. I'd venture to suggest that some guys doing high-end SR swaps are doing it because that's the high-end engine for 510s, not because they want/need 350HP. A few JCCS show cars get shown and shoved in a box for 300 days of the year.
If you had that kind of jack to throw at a 510 and wanted to be different, how different would you be if you had a TC16 (or, as far as that goes, a works LZ20B)? If the performance result isn't as important as the uniqueness factor, a 240HP TC16 would definitely make a statement.
Of course, that sort of market is a handful in total, so...

Don't get me wrong defiantly cool... Although...
The first Dual Cam 4 cylinder was raced in 1913 so even the OS Giken head when it came out was old technology. I'm sure it rips and would be a cool piece to show off if that's what your into. I myself place it in the same but way below and FJ20. Yes they would both be cool but a SR, KA, CA is just a much better and smarter direction for every reason I can think of. It reminds me of when we built Dave's turbo L series. Once you're behind the wheel of a turbo car that rips, who cares if it's a L series or a KA!!!

Re: OS Giken for L-16 article, very cool
Agreed. I'm not looking to be Mr. Special at any scene, I just want an efficient output that DOHC provides. With a manageable price range.
Now if I was Mr. Deep Pockets I would buy this just because I could

The KA DE head on an L block? Not a bolt-on, but perhaps just some chain guides and double-row cam gears away?

I think a bolt on front gear pack could be made with a little math involved.
Argh I'm hooked!!
