Recommnded shop for Gas Tank repairs

Post by Chickenman »

Anyone have a recommended shop in Lower Mainland, BC for fuel tank repairs? I'd like to get the Z' gas tank fully cleaned out tested for leaks and powder coated. Please don't recommend Port Moody Rads, as I had a very bad experience with them 2 years ago and will never use them again. TIA.

I dont know if they do gas tanks but the guys at http://hansradiators.com/ in Richmond are great guys (for Mustang guys) and they did a nice job on my 68 "5.0L eater" heater core. :P

When I had to get the tank done on my FJ55 I took it in to Langley Rad and they sent it up to Leakers in Keremeos. Great job but not very local (or cheap) but it was seriously polluted and needed lining.

I ended up using Cool It in Burnaby as I could not find a local rad shop anymore. They did boil out the take in caustic which is what I needed. I don't remember what I paid to have it done, and that was about six years ago. I have no idea if that place is still there. Google still shows the place on Merrit St.
