Still waiting for lash pads, retainers and valve springs from Nissanparts.cc. :x
Oil pan and motor mounts had to be 'modified' for the engine lean.
Console, tunnel (floor) plate, transfer case companion flange and front propeller shaft also had to be changed...etc...etc.
Most likely find a 38/38 for it after initial engine break-in.

Have you done the final assembly of the head-clock yet? Or was this a test fit inthe photo?

If you haven't done final assembly, contact me...

Ya...I test fitted the head, just so I could do all the plumbing...etc.
I'll bring it back inside and do the final wipe pattern.....I know the size of lash pads I needed with the stock retainers, but figured the new retainers might change the lash pad size and or wipe pattern????
I just used the .150 pads and cut up a .010 feeler gauge into small pieces, then kept sticking them under the .150 pad until I got the wipe pattern perfect.
Ordered retainers in Feb....wrong ones..(A series?)....reordered 8-.150-180 Aluminum retainers, 4-.190-.220 retainers because my exhaust valves are a little different that the intakes....more meat above the keeper.
Also ordered 8 -.160, 8 -.170, 8 -.180 and 8 - .190 lash pads...just in case :D
Nissan Comp valve springs.
It's been just about 6 weeks, so I called Nissanparts.cc this morning....said they got some of the parts. The retainers (package) they received was not marked (again)....and he hasn't taken the time to check it out..???...or compare to the retainers I sent back :x
Said there were 'issues' at Nissan.
Not impressed.

Here's the stock retainers with .150 lash pads.

Image

Calculated the intakes need .180s pads....and since the pads are sticking out farther on the exhausts, I might be able to use the .180-.220 retainers...??? Exhausts need .150-.160 pads.
