“Golddust” – Jordan’s RB26 twin turbo powered S14 260SX
Re: “Golddust” – Jordan’s RB26 twin turbo powered S14 260SX
That's going to be one insane machine!
You have to feel good Jordan, keep us posted. It'll look great at the All Japanese Classic this summer!

1000km
Got the car on the road and all is well (mostly--see below).
First main project as mentioned before was finishing the BOV recirc piping.
Got this finished up for -131 o-rings.
Welded said flanges to the charge piping and hogged out the holes.
Drivers side.
2" cross tube
I fabbed up a little shifter boot doghouse so I didn't have to weld anything onto the trans tunnel. It still uses the stock rubber boot and all tucks into the center console without issue.
The shifter placement was obnoxiously far back and I kept missing 2/4/reverse since the shifter would run into the console. The stock S13/14/Z31T/GTR shifters have rubber isolating the thick and threaded portion of the shifter from the stick. I used a pipe wrench to shear the rubber and a file/hack saw to clean it off. Once cleaned off, I put the bushing in a water bath and went to work on the top with some heat to bend the shifter stick to a more reasonable position. I cannibalized an S13 shifter for a template.
Once I have some downtime, I'll use some windshield adhesive urethane (~60 Shore A) to put the stock shifter cap on the stick.
I modified the ECU to fit the S14 cradle.
I had the past week off work so I spent a lot of time in the shop. First thing to do last week was determine what to do with my leaking PS rack. I ended up buying a rebuild kit that didn't even come with the right seals. Thankfully, I also ordered 2 complete spare racks which came from out of province. A couple days later, this was the mess I was dealing with. Thankfully the #1 spare rack didn't leak and still doesn't leak after 2 PS flushes.
Changed the cheap break-in oil to Mobil 1 0W30 and discovered that I needed to notch the upper engine mount to fit my filter (not the red one).
Bought a kouki car in case I want to go that route.
Zenki love.
Parting shot of the rear end. 265/30R19 on 19x10ET30--no spacer.

I made the trip back up to Quesnel yesterday and got 11.0L/100km or about 21.5 mpgUS. I'm pretty happy with that! All in all, the car is a blast to drive. The brakes are great, handling is tight, quick steer rack is fantastic, power is abundant, and the ride is slightly more compliant than the 510.
I have nearly 1000km on the car now with no issues apart from the leaky ps rack that I changed out.
So happy to finally be at this point on the car and hopefully deal with only minor things. It's been nearly exactly 2 years from rolling a stock zenki 240 into the shop and coming out with a fully built Godzilla powered weapon.
Still lots of small things to fix but thankfully nothing needing extensive fab work!

If you get tired of those rims...they would look killer on the M56, just sayin

You know what I love most about your car Jordan, put stock or unassuming set of wheels with good rubber on that thing and you could surprise the shit out of alot of people on the stop light Grand Prix!
Looks great, I'm waiting for you to take me for a drive!

Re: “Golddust” – Jordan’s RB26 twin turbo powered S14 260SX
So I've put a whole 4km on the car this year. With a heavy heart I announce that this will be coming up in the classifieds in the near future. It will have a working differential by then! Stay tuned!
I'm also going to list my 1990 Audi 90 Quattro 20V if anyone out there is looking for a rare German classic uber-sedan.
I've spread myself too thin and I need to consolidate the fleet so I can focus again!!
