I just like a dull finish. I don't like the sand cast look at all.

Damn that valve cover is cool! I bet there was a good amount of machine time hoggin out the cavity in the bottom!

There was....

The tools had to be so dang long.

The first program for the inner cavity had 1 tool at a run time of 5 hours.

Changed it to 3 tools all staggered length and cut the time to 2 hours.

Im going back to a 2 part design made from 2 - 2 x 6 x 16.25 blocks of aluminum to cut it down even further. Opinions be damned.

best looking A series cover Ive ever seen!
the only thing I would suggest is not using the breather at the top and putting a breather on the side or at the back much like the modern engines, that way the rocker cover looks longer and cleaner. Ive done the same to my old steel datsun rocker cover with breather off the side using brass fittings with loctite and rubber tube from it to pcv valve.

Thanks Datso.

I think I will be passing this one on to the only guy who paid to have one made, and Put the new 2 part valve cover on my engine. This is going to be 1 of 1 of this style.

2 part cover! yes! will it have a flip top? for better access to rocker area without ruining gaskets?

The access part is correct. Its for valve adjusting without making a mess or ruining a gasket.
