Its setup for only 11lbs but I will pulley up for 15lbs.

The little motor will make an est 155-165 HP then. That's huge ponies for this go-kart.

How much do you care about buzzing? I like in-tank pumps for EFI. You can isolate the external aftermarket pumps so they don't buzz the chassis, but they still make a lot of noise. Some of the early Nissan EFI cars (280SX, 200SX) had external pumps and weren't loud from the factory. No idea if aftermarket replacements for those early pumps are noisy or not.

As to the fuel cell, it depends on where you're putting it. In a crush zone? I like poly and foam internals.

I have a generic external electric pump on my wagon, installed last spring, and while you can hear a distinct pumping noise when the ign is on, once the engine starts you can't.

I dont really want a pinto style issue. The current B110 location of the factory tank is exactly in the wrong spot.

So maybe a poly tank & foam with an aluminum in car vapor cover?

Like one of these?

Or build a cage around your fuel cell. Or the poly cell AND a cage.

I couldn't even buy material to make a cell for what that poly cell costs - and the RCI includes the sender, fittings, etc. I had ~$300 just in materials for the 19ga cell I built.

Its so hard to make a living doing small time stuff now days. Little guy cant get bulk cost on supplies hardly.

I think I will go Poly.

Sink a tank pan 6" down from the boot floor where the spare used to be.

Nice. I was going to ask "why not a fabricated cover?" And then you showed that picture.

Overall cost to machine from a block is still less than to make a fab weld composite cover. Labor time and machine time.

At least in my case.

You could try the needle gun I used on my SR SU manifold, for that sand-cast look. Hard to go back from that, though.
