Did some work on my 1200 today.

Purchased a small can of paint remover. Simple product testing.

Two applications of even coats of the remover gel. Cover with plastic wrap and this happens.

While that was doing its chemical job I took the boot cover off to find out the extent of the rust issue in the trunk :(

The verdict is that it is really bad.

How far toward the taillight panel does the rusty rust go? Planning to carry a spare anyway?

Man, that trunk floor sucks canal water! Are you going to fab your own panels?

I don't plan to have a spare tire well as it was originally stamped. . The rust is looking like it goes right up to the seam between the floor and tail light fascia. I will cut until I cannot cut any more.

Pics coming soon.

 flares look great, good choice going metal. I'm just putting dodge omni flares on one of our 510's.
4 buckets would be cool. can you modify to fit a couple in back :?:

I am not sure, but I imagine a person could adapt buckets in the back. Would sit a little tall though.

Im going to try to adapt the Prelude rear fold down.

Omni flares are hard to come by. The Golf flares only ran 25-27$ a flare and they are fresh stamps.
