I'm going to put in a vote for no rings. I like the bare steelies or just the baby moons.

I want to cover the hubs at least, I hate the bare hub nubs, especially up front.

Made up a shroud for the mech fan. It's a 3/4 shroud, but ends at the bottom of the radiator core. It's split in half and bolts together, so I didn't have to pull the radiator to get it on. Bent up sides mount to the core support panel.

Working through some more fueling problems as well. Switched to an e-pump and wired it to an ignition-switched source, however the ATO fuse in the panel must have been old as dirt, since the 20A fuse popped about 3 miles down the road. Pump draws 2A, so, yeah. Got it home, replaced all the fuses with new fuses. Seems nothing's changed about fuses going from the Datsun glass fuses to ATO - they're good until they're bad, and they can look just fine and be on the verge of failure.

Nice Julian, what about a small rolled bead of some kind around that inner edge? Seems like it might vibrate at speed. Plus it would be less sharp.
I wish I could weld the AL like that, my biggest challenge now, I need more practice time.

No roller at hand, so no bead. Oh, and I didn't even think about it

I can send the manual one I made if you like, I don't think I will need it anytime soon. It would work great on that and would look cool.

Cool! What do you think about your tool on .065" aluminum, though?

You know Joel, ever since you posted a photo of that tool nearly a year ago, I have wanted to make one. But I have not found the tool to start with! What did that tool start out as before modification?

Tried it on all I had, some very stiff 0.05" frame. It seems to want to split if pushed too far, but if done gently

was that aluminum sample annealed, or partially hard/tempered?
