Those look fine also Doug, the cleaning and testing and all should be around $40 each or so? They're local to me so support should be better I think.

Ya....not sure of a price to pay for 'reconditioned' injectors on Ebay.
A good deal if they are not garbage. :?:
Stock replacements...(if they can get them)......from the local Auto parts dealer.....140+...each....
No support here.......
Hmmmm....just saw Merlin the other week....forgot to mention my injector issues....maybe he has some ideas and or.

the only other thought i had was that have you tried running it with just 4 plugs? Someone suggested that you might have too many hot spots in the cylinders, preignition...

I meant .......in this town. With limited resourses.
Not this forum. :D

I have to get on replacing my leaking injectors Doug, so I'll take in the spare set and have them check out. I should have my new clutch master in this weekend in the 'goon so I can drive that again .... Aggghhh, I forgot I need a new 200sx ingintion coil too ....

Timing is about 4 degrees different from 8 plugs to 4 ....?
So.....wouldn't that somewhat compensate for any pre-ignition relative to the excess heat/hot spots?
Hmmmmm.
Not knowing.....just a 'rambling' guess

When running dual plugs (all other things equal) burn time is reduced so you will need less ignition advance. Shorter burn time also lessens the time available for heat to transfer to the combustion chamber walls and collect in hot spots (if there even are any) and more is available for work pushing the piston down. The Z head is almost the ideal HEMI shape anyway, certainly a HEMI compared to the L series. Timing for dual plugs is 3-5 degrees BTDC!

Thanks Mike....
Merlin......you stated that.....:BTW that injection set up and head i gave you was from a 4 plug z20e if i remember correctly..."
The only difference between the Z20E and Z22E EFI assembly is the head.....?
All (most) EFI components are the same...injectors... etc....?
If there is a difference in the Z20 air box to the Z22....it can be calibrated for a larger displacment engine by reducing the spring/coil tension....more air....more fuel.
Disregard any aforementioned info already know :) :)

Actually.....have to check....but the z20e head is the same as the z22e.....other than the possible 4 to 8 plug scenario?
Just the location of the head temp sensor was moved
I think. :?
