This conversation just reminded me, that I have two boxes of 33's, that I need to be gone!
I don't have the heart to throw them out, they need to go to a good home! I beleive McShagger has a neigbour........
Jacket art was the best, some very cool stuff was done.

Homebrew:
Dayton MTM mains, Adire Audio center.
Adire Audio 15" Tumult, oldschool NAD 3020 for rears, oldschool Sony 3200F for center, oldschool Crown DC300A for mains
Everything at home is run off my PC (music and movies).
In the car, Alpine 9833 HU running two RF 500a2's active to CDT CL-62 components, and a JBL BPx2200.1 powering an Adire Audio 15" Brahma in my fiberglass box.

Rats, I lose big time on this one. 1/2 horsepower in the car, maybe 1/2 for my home theater stereo, very clean sound though.

It would also depend on speaker efficiency, heat and other losses. Not every watt would be turned into sound pressure.
In my truck I have about 400 watt amp plus the 4x50 watt at the head , so way less than 1 hp, 2X10"and 6X6" speakers (not in doors either), and a 12 CD changer. It's adequate for me. At hone, a home theater surround bla bla bla. BUT if I visit my dad in Ontario, I also visit an old friend, drink a beer, play pool and listen to John Prine on a pair of $15,000 Martin Logan electrostatic speakers, and the system to run them.

Right, and in car I'm not running my front stage amps very hard, or at as low an impedence as they can handle, that's why I said potential
In home I have a behringer ep2500 but I don't use it. I got it for my sub, but it gets loud enough off the 250w plate amp I have and the ep has a fan...not real loud but enough to be noticeable.
