Basic video editing, need help

Post by S15DET » 14 Jun 2012 11:30

A friend made a video of my first 1/4 mile pass, but was holding the device upside down when taking the video. Can someone flip the video 180deg for me? I'll have to email it to you, it's a 2.7M .MOV file.

Thanks

.
I can do it, if you email me: indy510@hotmail.com

I could also walk you through it........ if you have windows ..... 99% chance it came with "Windows Movie Maker"

Click "start" ...... "all programs" .... .. then: "windows movie maker"

once the program opens, look to the left it says "import video" ..... then you can drag the video file into the "timeline" at the bottom of the page

you should now be able to play the video ...... .. it's still upside down though,, so click: "view video effects" on left of the page

there's an option to Rotate 90* or Rotate 180* ...... . and then right click on "Rotate 180" ... then "add to timeline"

or you can right click the timeline ... "video effects" .... scroll down past all the fades to "rotate 180" .... .. "add" ..... then click "OK"

under "finish movie" ..... click "save to my computer" ...... don't overwrite the original movie or close windows movie maker until you figure out the right format for youtube/photobucket/vimeo

..... it would take me about 2mins ... .. it might take you all day ..... ...... .. just send me an e-mail I'd be happy to edit it for free

looks like WMM doesn't support .MOV? I emailed it to you. Thanks a lot.

Awesome, thanks a lot. Did you have to edit it, because when I opened it on my home computer it was right-side up? Doesn't matter, thanks for the youtube upload.
