New LORDCO location

Post by bertvorgon »

Morning World,

I was pleasantly surprised yesterday to see that the old FUTURE SHOP store, at the corner of Bridgeport and Sweden Way,
is now becoming a LORDCO. I suspect that it will be open in a month or so.

Sure be nice for me, as I do not have to head into the nightmare of downtown Richmond, or, try to get over to Southwest Marine.

I will update when open.

I LOVE Lordco. They have the best mix of parts, shop supplies and even basic speed shop goodies. None of the parts places in Alberta even come close to this ideal mix. I stop in to one everytime I go to BC.

I was in Kelowna in November on a Z parts run (whole 'nother story) stopped in to get a set 7" Hella H4 housings for the latest Z project, and got chatting with the counter guy about Datsuns. Turn's out he's a member of the local car club, huge Datsun fan, and I got a HUGE discount on the lights!. Good luck that ever happening in Calgary! Go Lordco!

If you ever need anything picked up, I can ship out to you via Courier or bus. Lordco is now going to be 2 minutes out my door here.

Bryon, thanks for the offer. I'll keep that in mind.

Feel free to use this as an excuse to get you out of the house or just to aisle cruise. Just say "honey, Jim K needs something from Lordco, I'll be right back"! then claim it was out of stock when you get back....

I will check into that , who knows, #3 Road is a nightmare, watched an SUV hang a u-turn in the BMW M5 and go up over the curb and scatter some people at the intersection!

Lordco at the new location in Richmond is open today I believe. All of the staff from the old #3 Road location are transferring and the old location should be closed as of today.

That Lordco location is a great location. It's 0.5 km closer to me than the Southwest Marine drive store.
Another nearby store in case my car breaks down while I'm on the road. The parking lot is pretty good for
loitering too...
