Is it just being completely familiar with where the shift points are on the automatic that allows him to blip the throttle on downshift the way one would with a manual trans?
Ugly car but crazy fast.

drive by wire, shift by wire, yaw control by wire, stability by wire, traction control by wire, etc...

BUT!!! ...at the end of the day and beyond all of the technology, that guy knows how to drive!
