Ours has 28K on it and the fronts are really worn as well. Luckily my wife does most of its driving or they would be slicks. Those low rolling resistance tires aren't cheap either.

What seems to be the problem would you say, as you both live with them?
As I head towards retirement, I would seriously consider an electric vehicle, just makes sense...BUT...these sort of issues can COST big bucks that can offset any fuel savings.

160ftlb of torque available from 0 is the issue I am changing it to a different tire next month. From new there is not a lot of tread depth on the tires it comes with. Being that they are a harder tire they also spin very easily on take off which makes the problem worse.

Yeah we will most likely go with a different tire as well. 2 bucks to go near 80 miles really saves some $. Plus our Leaf only cost us 10k used.
