As my business is mining related, I though you might like to read this, very staggering to say the least.
I had just read about some of the deep mines where the illegal miners go back and try to mine what may be left, just incredible about what they may face.....
I have personally been back 3,500 feet in an old mine in the Cascades, so I know what that is like, I cannot imagine 2.5 miles and that sort of heat in claustrophobic circumstances.

That was very interesting Keith. I can't imagine working in that depth let alone the stifling heat.

yeah, there must be some fascinating engineered systems for the ice cooling and air delivery systems, not to mention the super-elevator system as both an engineering challenge and a security challenge.
