Last spring, when I was at Specialty doing some routine maintenance, one of the usual things I do is to check that my methanol spray system is working.
This usually requires taking a LOT of things apart, just to see of the spray nozzles are doing their thing, which means the Hobbs switches and then the solenoid gas valves all work.
Basically it is a two hour job to check 2 nozzles.
Andy saw what I was doing and said he had a bore scope, which ultimately saved me an hour and a half.
Matt had remembered that and my family gave me this NIDAGE Endoscope for my birthday and so far it has done me well on two projects, the 510 will come a bit later in April.
I have put the link on here, no sense repeating too much.
My personal experience has said it is fantastic, only criticism might be is that it does not have image stabilization, so while you are snaking the camera into a place, it is a bit blurry, but, when you stop, clear as a bell. It is simple to use too, menu straight forward.
What I did was orient the “lens” BEFORE I started to snake it into place, so you had some sense of orientation and then try to keep the camera “square” if you will, as you feed it in. The LED light is awesome! It comes with a hook attachment, magnet and a right angle periscope, really cool.
Mine came with the 11 foot cord, but, it does come with a 5 footer. I will leave mine mostly coiled as I only need about 2 feet max for the 510. It has an internal, chargeable battery and their estimated operating time looks reasonable based on my time on. Reviews say it is way better than the 150 buck CDN tire one…whatever. For 89 bucks it has payed for itself in my looking for the rat and a few other things and will be invaluable for the 510. Can hardly wait to use it under the dash of my G35 as I try to find an FM transmitter the previous owner put in and I want to get it out.

If any one has the need of looking at anything hidden, more than glad to come and you can use it.

Me and Sam ordered the cheapest one they sell on Amazon. We call it the "depression cam" because any time you investigate it turns out to be the worst case scenario. The cool thing since they are so cheap we've sent it into a full gas tank, into hot engines, left it in the engine bay on drives among other things. If it brakes they are only 30 bucks! haha. Great tool for sure.

Re: NIDAGE Bore Scope Review
That is funny. I was thinking that about the fellow who had the miss cut valve seats.
If my spray nozzles show NO flow, then that instantly becomes a 200.00 fix if the gas solenoids are stuck. Before I retired I stocked up on a few as they just seem to get pricier and pricier.
That methanol is brutal on stuff like that. I am crossing my fingers that I get another summer on the system.
