Karen and I are thinking of doing the Mt Cheam hike soon. How was your experience doing it?

Also what are peoples times for doing the Grouse Grind?
I did it a couple of weeks back and did 49 minutes.
Thanks
Mike

Mike,
It was fantastic! The day was perfect and clear - one could see the ocean. The only downside was that some jerks with motorbikes chewed up the alpine valley at the start the weekend before. (big deal in papers, etc. will take years to fix on its own) It's quite the drive, and took a couple hours to do (lots of sites). It more of a mental hike I find, as you can see the top all the time and feels like you aren't getting anywhere.

Excellent pictures!
We can discuss Whistler tonight, Spencer, you and David would be just fine on the two trails we would do. Very much like the Watershed, just more stunts, but all have ride-arounds too. See you tonight.

I saw how you ride this Wednesday and you'll have no problem. 8) 8)

Morning World!
Confirming Whistler Cross country ride Sunday. Rally point at Brittania Beach at the first parking lot at 9:00 A.M.. Bring lunch and water. Doing two trails; "Kill Me, Thrill Me" and "A River Runs Through It". Each trail takes about 1-2 hours.
We have 4 510 owners riding so I think this rates as a club event! Pace will be nice and slow so we can enjoy the day.

We need newsletter material Keith - take photo's and submit a write up!! :-) Especially juicy details of good wrecks are always a help.

Wow that was awesome - So much fun and a hell of a work out. The first run at "kill me, thrill me" was pretty technical and I ended up over my bars more than once - whoops. "River runs through it" was just LOTS OF FUN!! The drive to and from Whistler was also fun!

I think Keith got some good pictures and I'm sure he'll post them up!

Brent, I thought we were ahead of you on the way home...until I saw a Honda Odessey passing cars left right and center ;) Reminded me of some other time...

Thanks for getting this setup Keith!

GOOD RIDE! Thanks to all who came, I think that a good time was had by all, even those who wrecked. Sorry we missed you Greg, I think this was a ride that you would not want to do if you have not been on a bike for awhile. Here are a few photos of the ride.

Bike ride at Watershed at 7:00 P.M. as usual. Sounds like it is going to be hot again, so hydrate all day, not just during the ride.

Well the plans just keep coming up... I'm driving to Alaska for a friend's 5 day stag on Wednesday at 6pm. 12 guys, 3 rental cars, 120 hours, no beds, no hotels. We're just gonna drive straight through.
