Don't all the podium finishers in a race usually go through a tear down just to keep everyone honest??
I thought this was a matter of course at this level of competition; I know on the international stage it sure is (FIA sanctioned events in both race and rally). Everything is tested, restrictor size, bore and stroke if applicable, valve size and right down to the fuel being analyzed.

yup, even back in the DRC days at Westwood, cars were gone over! Been like that since I have been racing. keeps the Smokey Yunicks on their toes.
