1st project post :)
Re: 1st project post :)
To Denvers point, a thin screen between the bell and the carb would keep the larger pieces of trash out. Not a bad idea, I'd consider it.
The screens on this page are pretty cool looking and go on the outside. I like it, dome and flat both are cool looking!!

Those look cool, but are really obstructive to air intake.

I could always leave it and just re-build the bottom end every 5k miles

When I was running my Mikkuni's I had picked up a set of Outerwear covers to put over the trumpets. They worked really well and did not mess up the tune or anything. Plus they are cheap as well. I would look into getting a set of those.

I went to my grandma's place today and I was looking through one of my 'junk' drawers for a drain filter thing that I had, because I thought that the mesh material stuff in it would be a good idea to use, but it looks like you already found something like it! I'm sure they will work fine, and they look cool as shit!S15DET wrote:The screens on this page are pretty cool looking and go on the outside. I like it, dome and flat both are cool looking!!

P.S. the drain filter thing looked something like this..
Faster is gooder.

Everything is all buttoned up so I thought I might post some updated photos. I just got my new Canon 40D and am snapping everything
Also took some interior shots although I hate the lighting

Ran into my dad on Sunday and thought I would post a few pix we took rather than start a new thread. It's 1972 all over again

Thought I'd throw in a shot of how we run the lines on the race car, along with a shot of the Pipercross
air filters. We're running 50mm Solex's on a relatively long runner manifold, and they fit well.

If you are referring to the tail of the dragon then no he hasn't been. He goes to Richmond Z events and to the Z odyssy in VA Beach.
