To Denvers point, a thin screen between the bell and the carb would keep the larger pieces of trash out. Not a bad idea, I'd consider it.

The screens on this page are pretty cool looking and go on the outside. I like it, dome and flat both are cool looking!!

Those look cool, but are really obstructive to air intake.

I could always leave it and just re-build the bottom end every 5k miles :)

When I was running my Mikkuni's I had picked up a set of Outerwear covers to put over the trumpets. They worked really well and did not mess up the tune or anything. Plus they are cheap as well. I would look into getting a set of those.

I went to my grandma's place today and I was looking through one of my 'junk' drawers for a drain filter thing that I had, because I thought that the mesh material stuff in it would be a good idea to use, but it looks like you already found something like it! I'm sure they will work fine, and they look cool as shit! 8)

P.S. the drain filter thing looked something like this..

Everything is all buttoned up so I thought I might post some updated photos. I just got my new Canon 40D and am snapping everything :)

Also took some interior shots although I hate the lighting

Ran into my dad on Sunday and thought I would post a few pix we took rather than start a new thread. It's 1972 all over again :)

Thought I'd throw in a shot of how we run the lines on the race car, along with a shot of the Pipercross
air filters. We're running 50mm Solex's on a relatively long runner manifold, and they fit well.

If you are referring to the tail of the dragon then no he hasn't been. He goes to Richmond Z events and to the Z odyssy in VA Beach.
