72 510

Post by ryan_m »

Hello I never introduced myself. Instead I came just asking a lot of questions, how rude. My name is Ryan I'm in the Sacramento Area. I just picked up my first project car ever. It's a 1972 Datsun 510 2-door. I have a limited mechanical background, so be patient with me! But here are some pics of the ride.

Did you get your engine ID sorted?

Mods? I wish it didn't have "mods" because I'll have to redo everything the other owners have done to it. Really janky work. But yeah okayfine I did. It's a L18 motor with a NAPS Z transmission. So I need to find another tranny to mount up to it, without a major tilt.

You can bolt on a L-series bellhousing onto the Nap Z tranny to correct your tilt.
