Wow. Much appreciation to both Merlin and tycott for smothering this car with so much love. By FAR the nicest body in work right now. I can't imagine a nicer one.

yes merlin your car is ready to go. i will see you tomorrow. check out these pics of bad granny all polished up. i gave it a 1200 wet sand, wash, then 1500 sand, wash, 2000 sand, wash, 2500 sand, wash. then i gave it a coarse 7000 machine polish, clean up, then finish with 9000 fine machine polish. looks pretty good. it took me about 24 hours. check out the reflection in the paint. http://s1017.photobucket.com/albums/af2 ... 0polished/

You know it's worth the wait and money when you see a finish mirror the ground almost perfectly! Nice work, can't wait to see the assembled product.

OMG! After all that work you didn't shrink wrap it before going on the coke. Hopefully it came out just as fresh as when it came out of the paint booth.

the shrink wrap is a great idea for trailering a car. the only thing is if you put plastic on a fresh paint job even when polished it tends to leave behind plastic impressions that have to be cut polished out. it looks almost like the wrap is still on the surface even when its been removed.

early spring... no gravel, no road dust, just smooth sailing up the Coquihalla only spots were a couple bug hits.
