Ahem, Octoberslow 2012?

Post by jason »

Well, looks like next weekend is a washout, rain scheduled for both Saturday and Sunday .... Anyone got suggestions for a route? Keith, you usually plan this out, what might your thoughts be?

I'm thinking of taking us down to run the Chuckanut Drive, then cross over I-5 and run up to Baker again. Those back roads were nice.

Both weather timing is obviously key, and it is not light till abut 7'ish now. If we crossed at 6;00 -6;30., that would work out about right.

Traffic has been heavy for the border, due to our strong dollar, we would come back Aldergrove again.

Don't need a plane to get a passport, it's actually really easy to get one.

The Bronze is ALIVE!!!

But still not quite right. Will write a post in my thread for an update, but it looks like I'll be needing a crank sensor for an EM-4 SDS.

Keep you updated.

And my passport expires next year, better get on that soon.

So you guys are coming down to the "land of the free home of the brave?" Hmm I gotta keep track of this thread. I may be able to make it. I'm not one for getting up early but it sounds like I may not have to get up to insanely early!

hey, if you guys want to pick some other route, I'm ok with that. Just don't know where else we could go to, that has not been done a zillion times.

I'm good with the states as soon as I find my passport. We could go an alternate route too, I'm easy!

If I'm free, I'm in.
Passport's already in the car, and I haven't made it yet on a State-side cruise.

I am watching the weather window, looks pretty sketchy, so the call will be last minute for sure. I have another 3 weeks of insurance, and then will be out after that. I also have a major service/maintenance thing coming up on the 510, which means I have to fit into Andy's schedule also.

We also are still planning to revisit that gold mine again, so that is still on the books too. This trip will be to the mine, NOT the trip to find the old camp on the other side of the river, which would be a day right there.
