510 on Speed Vision

Post by Mike »

Did anybody catch this 510 the other day on Speed Vision. I think the show is called Sports Car Revolution. they do a segment called Dyno Truth or Dare where they as the car owner what they think the HP is then they dyno it for the actual numbers. The 510 was pretty nice, comming in at around 470 HP.

I saw another time when some guy that had pumped around $50,000 into his Honda thought that it produced around 500 HP and was devestated when it came in at around 170 HP. I guess that he did not realize the body kit and stereo did not increase the HP.

Is it just me, or does it look like a skeleton driving? Probably a beleclava and sunglasses, but still. Kinda creepy.

Those wheels are gross, but you can't argue with 475hp... I thought the McKinney Drag 510 pre-flames was cooler (and nissan powered).

speaking of speed vision, i saw a box flared 510 racing without a grill or lights in a commercial for something. it was very sweet, i think i was watching a show on the Hemi Challanger's or something.

What's funny, is that that is basically a standard hotrod: Mustang II front clip, Chevy small block, ford 9"... Of course it has to have Weld Draglite wheels! I'm just curious why they decided to shell it in a 510 instead of a Pinto or Nova?
At 2600lbs, it's no ultralightweight (I think that's about stock for a '66 Mustang minus interior)

There've been Nissan V8's in cars for over 10 years now, food for thought, but no manual transmissions that I've heard of.

does the new Frontier come with the V8, now that its been updated and made bigger? It should come with a manual option, no?

with all the interchagability of Nissan parts, motor, trannies, you think something beefy would fit. From the Z32/33 or something.
