Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone has compiled a list of the common bolts used in the repair or restoration of a 510. I ask this because I am tired of running to the hardware store and wasting time. Hopefully this will help others too.
Thanks
List of common bolts for restoration and repair
Re: List of common bolts for restoration and repair
I could find no such list. I started making one, then I realized that fasteners change year to year and it seams that every component/bracket/trim..... has it own unique fasteners. I ended up sweeping out the corners of the shop and sent every datsun fastener I could find out for re platting.http://zeddsaver.com/

Thanks for the reply, that is too bad as I was really hoping someone would have compiled a list at some point. The Z car kit is a real good option, just hard to justify $500 for how many times one would run to the store. That's funny he wants to sell the kit for $500 with no pictures or anything. Someone here should put one together. I would look at having fasteners re-plated except I don't have any to re-plate half the time
Re: List of common bolts for restoration and repair
The eBay link says they're all stainless fasteners, which isn't necessarily the optimal material in many cases.

clipsandfasteners.com has nice cad plated SEMS metric hardware closer to home. Just search for SEMS M5, SEMS M6 etc to find the various options and lengths of their bolt selection.
They also have just about any other auto clip or fastener you can dream of too.

The only difference is that the ones from Oz look like the originals. With the Phillips heads.zKars wrote:clipsandfasteners.com has nice cad plated SEMS metric hardware closer to home. Just search for SEMS M5, SEMS M6 etc to find the various options and lengths of their bolt selection.
