Got about half the build (3 coats high solids urethane topcoat, 3 to go) of the thickness of film I need on the finish before I cut and polish, ebony is very porous with "cracks" in the surface to fill.

I have had many side marker lights through the years for the '68 that had the bolt support bracket on the back of the lens, rusted through or almost through like this:

So I decided it was a shame. I found some paper thin stainless sheet:

Then I cut a couple little of patches for inside the bracket

Joel my friend, you must have an incredibly high tolerance for pain, because you've set new levels for the definition of the word painstaking on this build. As always, my hat is off.

Made up a divider/reflector for the early Euro front turn signal assembly. Required some "tooling". I use the word loosely!;)
