broke elbow fitting on valve cover

Post by 510llama »

so close to finishing installing my l20b and i broke the elbow fitting trying to pull it off my old valve cover on to my new one....

what are my options for replacing it?

i'm not even sure what it is actually called.

any insight to what i can do would be appreciated. even the thread size would help so i can just find another fitting for it. thanks

hopefully i'll be able to run the car tomorrow for the first time

A lot of us just re-tap the cover for whatever size fitting will work, in my case an Earls/Aeroquip style fitting for the steel braided line to my catch can. Lots of options out there, very cheap to do if basic right angle fittings used.

I saw some detailed images of this setup and man I love it.

I wanted to see if I could duplicate these as an economical turbo system but dreams can only be dreams at times. It would cost quite a bit to make these :D

I'm hoping to take my dime there this year, still working out the bugs and adding stuff every weekend, I might take her for the longest drive yet next weekend to my sister's house in Camas Valley, Oregon. So far my longest drive was like 6 miles lol.

I have been seriously considering coming down to Canby this year, will just have to see. Weather can be such a bugger up here. I have almost finished my rad project, so I have even more insurance for any traffic issues.

Diego you can drive the car to Creswell any time and show it off.

Kieth if you don't make it to Canby I am still trying to make BC by August.

Back to the topic. I vote Tap the hole for a NPT bung or AN fitting.
