The Gobstopper car
Re: The Gobstopper car
Freaking Einstein! That is super cool, I love that stout sunken rebarmature (and those multi pass mig welds).

THAT MF is not going anywhere!! Well, I am convinced if anyone can do this monster, it is you! Excellent work, can't wait to see what happens to the car.

Wow, that structure would have made my structural engineer dad very proud! Good job.
Re: The Gobstopper car
thanks guys! Sam ran everything through Ansis and made sure it all had a safety factor of 10 then any area we could increase the safety factory without spendy to much more dollars we did. The holes are serious overkill! My bro loves digging and he dug some big boys! 23 80lb bags in one and 19 in the other. HAHA!
Most likely I will get the car on it before the up and down drive is done. The Acme threaded rod is expensive for 2" diameter, so I'm keep my eye on the recyle bin at work haha. I'm not going to need that until the body is ready to test fit the motor anyways.

I used to be friends with one powder coating shop, they ending up going out of business though.
