Inner door welting trim replacement options

Post by eastbaysolo_73 »

Sup fellas,

Was wondering what you guys are you using for the welting trim replacements on the inner door and Rear 1/4 windows. Found these guys in Canada but couldn't find any threads where people have actually used it. Any info will help as my 2 door didn't come with any.

Edge Trims Steel-Core (Flexible, Snaps-On)
Its $2.24 per ft. Canadian

I think it's called welting. There has been some for sale on eBay in the past.

Come on fellas if you have any info on what you used for replacements please chime in. I know there's a few of you out there who's project didn't come with any and would like to know as well. I read some where that some of the guys are using BMW welting for there 2 door 510's as well. Unfortunately I can't find that dam thread after searching for it. Gonna have to dig deeper on the web. But I will find out what year and model is being used and see if I can find some at my local yard for a test fit.

No I haven't used them on a 510, but have used plenty of their stuff. On their web site, look under build your edge, put in the thickness that you need to go over, then select the leg distance( which is the height). This stuff is very similar to the factory Datsun item. You can request a sample.
