I don't think so, this is my '71

Every 510 came with a colour code stamp on the rad support, often it's under one of the decals. If the stamp isn't there, suspect either that it's been filled during a previous paint job, or it's a replacement rad support.i have an OEM rad support in my pile O crap, and it's the only smooth one I've ever seen with no stamp.

Just some thoughts.

Byron

I have parted out many 510s, some with OG paint. Not all 510s had the paint code stamped into the core support. Most earlier cars did but most of the later 71 To 73s only had a paint code decal.

That's is interesting David. I to have parted many 510's over the years, and have always found the stamp, but often under the decals. You wouldn't think that this would be a regional thing, as the cars that came to Canada and the US were virtually identical, with exception to the 68 model year and that most Canadian cars had the options for the larger heater and rear window defrost (and it seems more white interior cars as well).
At last count I have had just unde or 40 510's over the years, and only once remember seeing a car without the stamped paint code. Could it be that the code was simply under the emissions and paint code decals on the cars you reffered to?

I have to side with David on this. I have had my 510 since new,1972. There is no stamp there was only a decal.

Sounds like it may have been hit-or-miss on the line! I am still wondering about the paint code above, I can't find a blue with that number.
But, I am no painter, it must be real.

I just checked my second 68, I can't find the code!

I am going to clean and etch the surface, maybe it was sanded down, this car has been through hell.

Supposed original color. #664 Spanish red sounds right. Photo isn't the best. Inside of doors are more red than orange.
