Re: Clasic Car Adventures - Thanksgiving Day morning drive
Does that give you enough time to get to the college for the 8:30 leave?
I may cruise over and wait at the Chevron also, I would plan to be there by 7:00 AM..
I'm maybe thinking of heading up to Whistler after the meet and greet at the Gondola, do a loop back along Alta lake road, and then back to Boston Pizza in Squamish for a late'ish lunch?

OK, sounds good, I'm really looking forward to tomorrow as next weekend looks to be a wash for our OCTOBERFAST drive...maybe this will be it.
I put 3 months insurance on the 510, so at least I have a good window now...unless we get SALT on the road.

Morning World,
Nice, still morning out there, thin overcast, touch of fog on the way to the plant. Car started just fine, so I will be leaving in 10 minutes or so and meet you at the Chevron.
Don't forget some food for the food bank.

Re: Clasic Car Adventures - Thanksgiving Day morning drive
Hope everybody made it home ok, that is the first time we have had to leave somebody on the side of the road.
I myself was quite bloodied and beat up after that day, my right ear all red and pulpy....
The little devil on my left shoulder kept saying...."You can blow that Porsche into the weeds on those twisty's!"
The angel on my right shoulder shoulder would say...."NO...You must be RESPONSIBLE, those days are done!" and then my right fist would whack the right side of my head..
The devil on my left said again..."The Chekamus Canyon you have ripped before, lets play with the Mini....!"
The angel on the right said..."SEE...just as you started to pick up the pace, that parked sport ute was an RCMP car and just blasted you with radar...!!!!"
My right hand came up again and drilled my right ear.....
The devil on my left said..." You can 86 any of the those Whistler mountain bike guys driving the obligatory WRX/STI with mods no problem!"
The angel said..."You must grow up, people have phones now...!"
MY right hand drilled my left cheek......
You get the drift, nice day, lots of crazy traffic, to think I was going to test my car was insanity, although I did get to open it up a few times. Even the loop along the backside of Alta Lake was not like I last ran it, broken pavement, zillion dollar cabins, traffic calming, pedestrians, bikers.....
Fun day though, great group of people as usual, sorry that Ray had the fuel pump issue. I made the whole trip on one tank of fuel with a bit to spare, so I was pretty happy considering all the speed changes and idling.
We are too late for this season but next year, we have to do a Winthrop run again. Next weekend sounds like we have a HUGE storm coming in, so OCTOBERFAST may have just happened.
Pictures to come.

While I think of it, check your radiators for leaf and bark debris. There was so much stuff off the trees and the logging truck in front of me, left a lot of stuff coming up off the road, into my rad.
I back blew it out this morning. leaves, cedar bark, pine needles.

Man, what a fun day plus hanging out with my bro. This cruise is always great with so many different makes & models AND seeing them driving too. It's a short run from North Van to the Sea to Sky Gondola so for us to bomb up to Whistler, it was perfect!
