Mounting a Spook

Has anyone mounted one of these with an adhesive and had success? I'm looking to get one, but am wondering if there is some sort of double sided adhesive that is strong enough to hold it on.

I'm trying to avoid punching holes in the car if I can.

On the subject, you could probably make some spare-parts money if you could source and ship the JDM spook. A lot of people have wanted one, but only BRE is sold Stateside.

There are some adhesives that would hold it on...BUT.....you would never get it off should you crack or damage the spook. So you have to ask yourself, drill some holes for easy removal, or, have a really tough time trying to get the spook away from the valence with super strong adhesive and end up bending or damaging the valence anyhow..

Do not discount the air pressure on that surface area at 60 MPH.

These are good points. Mine main concern was rusting, but if I drill the holes and sell the inside edges with some paint they should be fine.

So I've been looking into this and have been searching in Japanese on Google and looking in Yahoo Auctions. I cannot find a 510 specific spook that is shaped like the ones you sent me in PM. I looked up some dimensions and I'm starting to think that they aren't 510 spooks that you guys are seeing. I think they may be for Hakosuka GTRs. I looked up dimensions for a KGC10 and a 510; they seem to be very close.

We use this tape to hold some of our armor plates together: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/e ... -VHB-Tape/ Using the right 3M primer also makes a huge difference in adhesion + we learned that 24 hours of moderate, even clamping pressure also increased success. The adhesive literally oozes slowly into microscopic surface imperfections which helps it stick better.
