Re: My Coupe Project, back to the future.....
A few moths ago we loaded up the family and headed to Japan to see the in-laws and have a little vacation time, well, it wasn't really vacation but i did see some old friends and run around Japan like the old days....
This was my neighbor, Watanabe-san, he lived a few houses down from me, I bought the Honda Motocompo scooter from him before I left Japan, still in good health and driving his AE86 on a regular basis, he's the original owner, I tried many times to buy it from him but he always said no and would tell me how much he loved that car. It was nice to see him again, he even remembered my name. Really nice gentleman.

I also caught up with sugata-san and we hit the road to the monthly 510 meet in Yokohama, we also stopped by Refresh60 and got to chat with Obata-san, he was telling me that he might close his shop in the near future, I think his health is not the best and he's ready to retire.

Back to my shop......I've been working pretty hard on it lately, I also have a close friend helping me a lot (actually, he's doing most of the work) it's just too much work for me right now with my current job schedule. But I am staying busy out there and it's getting done.

Re: My Coupe Project, back to the future.....
it's getting there, I'm working on the insulation and drywall now, hanging a 13ft ceiling is no easy task.....especially by yourself but I have a drywall lift and that thing is amazing! I did have to buy an extension to get it to go up high enough.

Re: My Coupe Project, back to the future.....
That's a real nice shop and I enjoyed reading about your past projects. Thanks for the thread!
Re: My Coupe Project, back to the future.....
Rich, everything that you do always amazes me and is always so nicely carried out and well documented. Thanks for sharing.
Re: My Coupe Project, back to the future.....
Thank you! It's a lot of fun but it's a lot of work at the same time. This time around I am trying to get the shop just right, everything where it needs to be and user friendly. I really want a nice big shop in the back yard but that will have to wait, this space will be fine and make it fun to go out there to work on something, I just can't wait to get it done.
Re: My Coupe Project, back to the future.....
I know I want you to get onto the coupe so you can sell me any extras you might have
