For those whom may have missed the Portland Historics last weekend it was impressive to see the scale of enthusiasm and participation up here in the NW. While my machine is only street-worthy, there was a very, very impressive set of race-510's well representing "Datsun" as the feature for this year's entire event. Eves-dropping on numerous discussions walking pits and 'car corral' it became remarkably clear an entire series of diverse vintage 'car-guys' had witnessed a revelation. I have never experienced BMW, Alfa, Mustang an Lotus types all describing how impressed they were with the preparation and trac-savy spanking the 510's delivered.

Leads me to reflect on the many layers of respect underlying the advice, research, support and links of this post from Mr. fine that continue to serve all-of-us well. In addition, the dedication and support from the sages of BC, who keep this site rolling year-after-year, are much appreciated.

Gentlemen (& women), I'm going to suggest there's meat here for an annual visit for all of us, not just new-to-the-addiction.

Hello, Guys, I'm new to this site, but not new to 510s. I owned a Japanese Auto Repair shop in the late 1970s and bought a 1972 2-door 510 in 1978. I drove that car on the road and raced it at tracks like Bridgehampton, Lime Rock, Pocono, Bryar and Summit Point raceways. I am restoring that car today. You can follow my story and the car's progress on my Facebook post:
Tom's Datsun 510 Rebuild. Looking forward to reading about other projects.

At least when I pull up the Google Docs link on my phone, it appears that the FSMs are no longer available. Does anyone have a source for them?

The 510 Archives is still viable. Do you have actual links you tried that don't work for you?
Because when you spend a silly amount of money on a silly, trivial thing that will help you not one jot, you are demonstrating that you have a soul and a heart and that you are the sort of person who has no time for Which? magazine. – Jeremy Clarkson

I checked this morning when I was home. For whatever reason the second level of folders won't appear on my iPhone on the google docs archive. When I am on my computer all the directories show and I can see the files. Thanks for maintaining this stuff for us.

Great articles. Gonna have to put it in my favorite tabs for quick ref. I am new to 510 ownership and i am a dedicated mechanic. I specialize with Mercedes-Benz vehicles, but my 510 is a blast to drive whenever i can drive it.
