Not a bad way to treat a 122S. :-)

My father has one in the back yard that's got a 6" chop top with a host of other body mods - and it's been under a tarp for 20 years. It really needs to be put on the road!

122 is too nice a car to live under a tarp, but if there was ever a car that could survive there it's an old Volvo.

Yep, built this one before the 53 PU. Did a 6" chop top, but didn't cut the windshield, instead he laid the stock windshield back, looks really cool and it needs to drive one day!
Dad sold the stock drive train out of it years ago, and had planned a larger V6 plant, but I think an inline would be a better choice given the narrow distance between the upper A arms, and there is no point in getting rid of the perfectly good double A arm set up. I think an inline 4 or 6 would be quite good, loads of room up higher for a late model twin cam head.
It's on the One Day list, because I'm pretty sure dear old dad had retired the project. It sat behind Kurk's old 280ZX, and beside the Bridgeported 13B 210 ice racer.....all of which are now gone, so the Volvo sits up there on the hill and is quite lonesome. I'll take photos next time I'm out there in the light. I'll bet you have seen in and just didn't recognize it. He chopped the top in the early 90's, and it's sat ever since.
