Hi
Hi
Hi,
1st thing, to set things strait, I have an addiction issue. I am a long time Datsun fanatic and have been registered to the site since 2012 but this is my 1st post. As I purchased my 1st 510, my work and family life started getting crazy so I have had very limited time to do anything car related. My passion for Datsun started when I was a little kid, falling in love with the Z cars. Fast forward 25 years later when the time came for me to purchase a weekend cruiser, I ended up deciding on a Datsun roadster. It was a basket case, but at that time I was also looking for something I could wrench on and did not have to worry about smog checks. One thing led to another and now as it stands, my Datsun collection has grown to include a few 510's.
70 Bluebird Coupe 1600 SSS
71 2 door Sedan
My love for dimes did not start from childhood, instead it was out of respect once I realize what a special car this was. Unfortunately I realized it a little too late and let a dream car slip right thru my hands without realizing it at the time as I thought it was "too expensive", hind sight, it would have been much much cheaper for me than my current situation. Several years later when I truly realized what had happened, I told myself some day I will get a coupe. After many years of looking, and not finding the one, I decided on a 2 dr sedan. Shortly after acquiring my sedan, I stumbled upon a coupe for sale so I did not think twice about it. I told myself before getting my coupe, all I needed to complete my Datsun collection was a coupe, but now I find myself wanting a goon...

Hello and welcome to The Realm. Feel free to post up pictures of your 510s!

Re: Hi
Yeah, can dig! thank you. Early or late dash in your Coupe? I wonder if '70 Coupes got as much of a mish-mash of parts as '70 510s we got in the US?

Re: Hi
Man, your coupe looks the business. Love it!!
Re: Hi
Thanks. Still needs to be dropped a few inches and then deal with the body work, it has a fair amount of rust. As for the dash, its the later style 6 gages.
her are a few more pics- Attachments

Re: Hi
my 320 is fun to drive for sure, but far from calm. I would say prob the most taxing to drive out of all my Datsun but also most practical. I learned my lesson when I took my Z to home depot to get a few things with my wife and of course she wanted to by manure . I now only drive my 320 when doing home depot runs.
