New Member from Montreal, 73 2 doors

Post by Fred_L-P »

Hey guys,

I'm from Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
I'm 26, mechanical engineer and working in the automotive industry for the past 2 years.
I've been reading build threads on this forum for a couple of years now.

I've always dreamed of an old Z or 510. Since I bought my house a year ago I started looking for my project and I just found it!
Yesterday I made a deal for a 73 2 doors shell with minimal rust. Most of it have been repaired already, but it's been sitting for 6 years. It's an unfinished project coming with a load of healthy body spare parts, 3 complete sets of windows, full interior with only 21000 miles, etc... too much to list.

This is my first build from the ground up. So far I've only worked on my 2004 Ford Ranger built for off-road (now gone).
My goal is to put it back on the road as a summer daily driver.

I'm picking it up on next Saturday, so I don't have any pictures yet.

Starting a build thread as soon as I get everything sorted out, can't wait!

Thanks

I design plastic injection molds for optical lenses.
This should give you a good idea:

My most recent molds are for the Telsa Model 3 fog and Explorer 2019 low beam.

Pretty fun tooling to work with, I like it.
