With the price of real estate they will be home for a while. I am preparing for mine to
be home for a while too.

Bring it out Leonard - I have black electrical tape for the emblems :-)

You still have the R5, right? Park then side by side.

Yes. I still have the R5 Turbo 2. Unfortunately, I don't trust anyone in the household
to drive either one of them out.

Good. I will drive it then!

When was that drive that you came on, was that the one through the Interior?

It was "shakedown" for the newly acquired M3. I was surprised that I didn't break down on the side of the road.
I think it was near Ashcroft when I witnessed the amount of power your car had when you easily passed
a logging truck in a very short distance. The M3 could never do that. I was left in the dust...

Oh yah, I remember that trip, it rained off and on all day on us. Some of us washed our cars in Merritt and when we came out of Boston Pizza, it started raining again.

Fun day though regardless, more and more now I look back at those trips as our Golden Age here, the large groups gone and our insane speeding laws just too draconian to risk here now.

Love your new car!

Likely March. I'm meeting with Richard this weekend to see his new family (baby boy), so I'll see if we can get a meeting date together.

If there are some more locals willing to pitch in, we do need volunteers. If Auto X is an option, we'll nee a few more!

Certainly contact me anytime if you want to help out or have questions about the event.

I can probably help out with somethings. It is a bit more difficult being a ferry ride away but there should be something I can do.
If no one from the future comes back to stop you from doing it then how bad of a decision can it really be?

Thanks Norm, the day of the event is always the big day we need help on - especially parking first thing in the morning. Without the volunteers Richard and I could never make this happen. So we make sure you at least go away with a shirt and a free entry for your car.

Hi guys,

This thread has been really quiet - of you local Vancouver or southern BC folks - who's coming out the ALJ next weekend? Yes, it's already that close!!!

Rich and I were going through the 510's and there are only 3 registered out of the 150 or so cars on the list to date... tell me you guys were planning on coming and just didn't sign up?

Let me know, as we are planning the awards according to class size.

BTW, we are judging the show this year, so that'll shake things up a bit I think. Judges will remain anonymous for now.

Hear from you all soon.

NEXT WEEKEND.....I thought it was the 26th? Next weekend is the 18th/19th.

Don't make the summer go any faster than it is!!!!!!.

Now that you have a weekend free, we could do my lights........

Sorry to alarm you Bert, yes the show is in the 26th, but at least I know some read the thread!

Looking for Realm memebers who are going however. Looks like the long term weather continues to be just as awesome as we’ve had all summer long, that’s a bonus.
