WTB: Factory tach lighting harness

Post by abisel »

I'm looking for the wiring harness that provides night lighting for the factory tach. Does anybody have such a beast?

These are really hard to find - but there is an easier solution:
The two signal light indicators (on the same pigtail) on the back of the 70-73 dash board cover are the same snap in style light sockets and work perfectly on the factory 70-73 tach. This is a much easier part to find if someone has some dash parts kicking around.

I found this image of the subject wiring pigtail.

Where I found the image mentions it plugs into the Tach/Clock connector which would provide a constant 12v to the tach. I could rewire such to be a switched 12v instead. However, if the turnsignal pigtail would work, I could give that a try too.

As Byron said, finding them is hard. I used a modified turn signal bulb harness in mine. I have an extra one I will sell you.
