Hi 510 realm
let me start off by introducing myself. Long time gear head and I'm excited to start this journey with my 510. My history starts with my first car which was a 66 mustang coupe. At 16 i just wanted to get the car on the road and did a moderate restoration.
Years later I started getting into performance and ended up joining with my best friends in a small business from our passion (RDEFAB.COM). This stems from living close to tail of the dragon and weekend trips up there.
So how did the 510 com in the picture? I had an Integra that was fully built for road race/weekend warrior, but what i discovered is i enjoy building cars more than driving them. I came across the 510 on craigslist and new this was a project for me, so i ended up trading the integra to a friend that would put the car to use on track.
Goals for the 510 is to integrate modern tech in an old car. I know some will hate me for this but the engine i have choosen is a honda K series out of an RSX-type s (honda roots) coupled with a 6 speed out of the s2000. This project started as lets just get it on the road, but i couldnt ignore the rust that needs to be fixed and wanted to do it right the first time. Before deciding this i started on the suspension and brakes. Picture will show that progress. Now im in the process of stripping the car and will be moving to fixing the rust next.
