Wouldn’t it make sense that the ramp angle in the diff controls the slope of the transient conditions on the graph above?

Good tires hide many things....
I have been working to get my suspension sorted out again after changing most of it last year. Shortened struts, moved the sway bar and it has not had a proper alignment since the front got mashed in. Well this weekend I finally did it all. I got the tools and did a proper alignment. It took about 3 hours to get it exactly where I wanted it then I had to go through the corner weighting process again. All told I spent about 7 hours on it but man was it worth it.
My car has always handled well...I can keep it glued to Kieth's bumper through the twistiest roads, but lately I have felt like it should be better. After the accident it didn't feel as stable at higher speeds and it has been down right eating tires. I guess having R compound tires can hide a lot of issues. I don't think I would have been able to drive it that well if my tires weren't that good.
I started out taking readings of the toe, camber and caster. Toe I had corrected a few weeks ago and it was at dead on 0. Camber was at -3.5 on the drivers side and 4 on the passenger. The caster was where it was really messed up. I am guessing the pull that Tyson did to straighten the front out changed a few things. Drivers side was at 4.5 and passenger was at 0.25. I find it hard to believe that it didn't handle worse but it does explain why that tire was getting eaten up. I corrected the cambers to 3.5 on the passenger side and set the caster to 5.25 on both sides. I took it for a drive right away and the difference was astounding. I had forgotten how good it could handle. No more sketchiness at high speed.175 on a road that is bumpy and undulating and she was dead straight and stable as can be. It actually felt better than it normally did at 120.
You can see that two of the tires are almost new looking and 2 are pretty worn. This one is down to the carcass

If no one from the future comes back to stop you from doing it then how bad of a decision can it really be?

Of all our suspension setups.....UNEQUAL castor is the worse...and yours was HUGE! Good you checked and found that.

Good job getting that sorted. I think we are all guilty of putting off things like proper alignment or engine tuning in lieu of bolting on a fancy new part, but its the things like this that turn a decent handling or running car into an amazing car! There are so many things that I have put off over the years that once I did them I wondered what took me so long.

I finally decided to do something about the gas leaking out of the cap and having my car constantly smelling like I have an open gas can in it. I have been looking for solutions and watching what everyone else is doing. I was planning on going with a capless filler neck but nothing seemed to fit well without a bunch of mods. I really didn't want to have to get something then change it to make it work. After a lot of looking I found a bolt in universal 2" filler neck with a 5/8 vent.

They also make a 2" to 2 1/4" reducer hose that fits between the tank and the filler neck almost perfectly.
Top it off with a a classic looking cap that is vented like a modern car and the results are pretty good I think.

Byron I just test fitted the hose this morning and it is actually the exact length I need. No cutting at all.

It has a 45° elbow at the 2" end. It would be a bit better if it was a 30° but it still fits nice. I have the tank out at the moment for my change over to an in tank pump. I am just waiting on the internal 6.5lb regulator for the pump then I can put it all together. I should have the remaining parts in this week to finish up. It is a pain having to order everything. I missed 2 fittings for the new 3/8 fuel lines so I am stuck waiting till they and the regulator get here.
