Been hauling this '71 2-Door around for the last 8 yrs to and from storage places. Finally getting serious. I made a mistake 10 years ago of selling a 2-Door 510 and regretted it ever since. Won't make the same mistake again.
Fired it up the first time last week and gave it a run up and down our lane. No turning back now.
Goal: Daily driver (45 mile round trip daily commute to work) and want to be able to drive it anywhere I feel like.
Simple build, close to stock with mild upgrades
Engine: L20B (right now I like the simple approach)
Tranny: '80 ZX 5spd
Driveline and rear end all stock
Rebuilt stock brake system: front discs, rear drum, new master and cylinders
New Clutch / master / slave
Aluminum Radiator: oversized with dual electric pusher fans
Electronic Ignition
Battery moved to rear trunk
Need to do: (immediate future)
Finish messed up wiring (reading DQ entries on topic)- Front and rear lights, wiper motor
Heater Box (replace hoses and test out)
Floorboards
Seats
After that I hope to drive and work on it. If it gets parked and taken apart again, it will sit too long and I won't enjoy the ride.

Welcome to the site!
Just an observation...do I see one of those glass bodied fuel filters just above the manifolds?
If so, those can break/leak. I would suggest getting a canister type of fuel filter and moving it away from being above the exhaust/intake manifold. Cool fuel is happy fuel. That helps with not having any hot start problems in the summer.
Those Weber 32/36 carbs are bullet proof, if you need any diagrams of it's working, I can send them to your regular email, if you have.

Only 8 years? You are doing great. I have had my first 2 door since 1976, driven for about 6 years total! Welcome, have fun.
