I've always believed you buy parts when you find them, not when you need them. Before futofab this was even more true. And I still tell anyone with long term ownership in mind to grab those panels as well. They could dry up at anytime. I feel like a depression farmer who remembers.what it was like when Nissan parts dried up. Even now when a build a car, most times I can't use nos and just look for my second best. Always one more car to do someday. Nice to see I'm not the only one.

I agree 100% .... I missed buying R+L 1972 Celica full Quarters by a few weeks .... Toyota scrapped all their inventory back in the 90s. I just didn't have the $260 Dollars when they were available ..... hard to imagine $260 a full factory quarter. Fortunately I got NOS Front and rear bumpers $120ea Guess feeding my kids was more important LOL

BTW I also have 2L and 2R 2 door factory Rockers for the 510

I have a friend with a Celica. Parts for that car are hard to source. I couldn't let many 510 parts slip away. Although when Nissan had parts I could have picked up more in hindsight. Still have a rear 68 bumper and light. The light was $35. Picked up a pair of inner fenders. Im not sure why. Not a easy part to install. They don't come with the inner fender rail that rusts out easily. And too bad futofab didn't get that part repopped. I do have one side. I only have one rocker. Not sure what side. I have a very early 68 in rough shape. It would eat up all that metal and then some. Not sure I have the stomach to fix it. It seem we have a similar problem. At least I have one son with a 510 so hopefully what I don't use he will take care of.

I am glad I have stocked up on what parts I have been able too. I really kick myself for not keeping most of the bits that came off my wrecked 72'.

Not to have had the "vision" of the future and the longevity of my 510, really was short sited. Only after I stopped racing and the 510 came back as the flavour of the day, did it hit me how invaluable parts would be. At least and thanks to Glen, was I able to grab some of the last OEM stuff as it came up.

I have now had my car 42 years...unbelievable.....

Keith.... you just made me realize I have owned my Celica for 40 years. Best $300 bux I ever spent other than the $2500 for my Tiger LOL.

It is cool that you have your Tiger! There is a good Tiger club here and they have some great examples of the marque.

Many years ago, one of my friends had a 500 HP tiger, the thing was a missile in a straight line, but, it had it's handling issues of course. He ended up losing control at a Solo event on Vancouver Island and bought the wall...the car is still waiting repair.....

A couple of us got invited to the North American Tiger Meet held at Boundry Bay Airport in 2005. There were Tigers from allover Canada and the U.S. there. Fun Solo day for sure.
