WTB: passenger side door lock

Post by HKS »

Looking for a passenger side door lock for 2 door 510. Don't need a working key as I can re-key it myself but body has to be in good condition with no cracks. My original lock mechanism is slotted open on top and has a number "3" on it if that matters.

Images are not showing up but I posted on my dropbox to give you an idea of what the damaged factory unit looks like.

I almost certain they can be rekeyed. I know I plan on rekeying mine along with the ignition and trunk.

Found one on Amazon that has the return spring and matches more of the factory design . I just need to swap out for the original arms. I ordered a set and will try to rekey these.

Thanks TJ. I will attempt to piece together the parts I am receiving. Maybe you can tell me (my posted links) if the original locks from my car is actually a part from a newer model 78+ Datsun 510 or Nissan Truck 85+ including the D21 Hardbody? I researched most OEM locks don't have a return spring or open casing that shows the lock wafers.

I agree that that lock is later, cuz of external spring & the yellow plastic clip for the rod.

PM response sent!
