Northern Lights Pics

Post by Rush »

We had an amazing display of the Auroras a couple of weeks ago. Thought I'd share my pics for those who have never seen the Northern Lights.

Thanks for sharing. I've seen on the Canadian parries (winter) and in southern Ontario. (again in the winter)

YES...thanks, been a long time since I have seen them!

Skagway, Alaska, WhiteHorse Y.T., and, once in central B.C. at the top of a 7,000 ft mountain, so cool.

You have good photos too!

I'm glad to share! :)

It's pretty unusual we see them like this. That was an especially odd event because it happened so early in the evening. Usually, if there's an Aurora event, you can't even see them until around 2-3 am and then they'll be faint. I live South of "the big city, (Duluth)" so looking North, we have a bit of light pollution that generally washes out any Northern lights. These pics were from around 9:30 pm & the light show was in all directions. I just took the photos with my iPhone so that's a pretty good indicator of how intense they were.

Amazing! I have only seen them once about 7 years ago and it was mesmerizing.
