Mid-Ohio update
Specialty Engineering wins!!!
today, Collin Jackson and Dave Humpries placed 1St and 2Nd respectively at the Valvoline SCCA run-offs at the Mid-Ohio raod course. This is the Holy Grail of amatuer racing! It was a barn burner of a race with Collin holding off all comers and Dave making an awesome run from his 5th place qualifiyng spot to place second. I can hardly wait to see them all on Speed vision. They interviewed Andy also. Hats off to an incredible TEAM effort by all involved. Will post more details as I talk to Tracey on Tuesday.

I believe it will be in November, will let you all know for sure! Going to Manning Park to day, will check out the hillclimb to the lookout for a great photo op. in October. They do close the road and I will find out if it is open on that wekend of our planned trip.

Heee hee!
I got to watch a race on Saturday.. shit I THINK it was SAT, could be SUN.. anyways, 510's were in the lead, and this damned little MG came out and stole first place... 510's tires were heating up, couldn't keep them cool enough to get proper traction in the twisties... was having a hard time keeping offset traction doing on the last corner, got taken by the MG - smart guy?
Either way it went MG/510/510/510/510/510... so I'm not bitching.
It just goes to show you that a 510 driven well is good competition to an MG - driven at the same level. Both agreed they were equal drivers.
My stepdad didn't like the fact that they said that.. he's an old MG fanatic. And he's always hated my 510. (Jokingly, he calls it a rice-rig POS)... and it really stung him to find that even an MG owner can say that a 510 can outperform him on the corners.. and the 510 guy could say that the MG had the power for the straight aways.
Great Cars, and Great Drivers. The perfect match-up. And that's a lot saying I don't watch racing... not anymore!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone! Do not forget that Speedvision is playing the SCCA GT-3 race on Sunday at 11:00am our time on the coast. They usually start the Run-off coverge at 9:00. I watched Dave Humphries in-car footage from the race at the Specialty party, it is very good!! Makes me want to hit the Duffy Lake road again!
