my daily driver
Well I've been driving my ca18de powered 510 with no real problems for the last 8 months. 3 days ago on the way to work the clutch decided to go out (that's what I get for putting a used one in). Seattle to puyallup is quite a drive every day, I hate traffic. With no car anymore I had to barrow a budys truck (620 short bed), he said I could barrow it as long as I wanted so I thought to myself I should put my sr and rack and pinion I've been working on for the last three months in. I though it would be fun to start a thread about it. Jason said he would post the pictures for me since I can't do it with my side kick. Thanks dude.

SR and a rack and pinion! Awesome! I can't wait to see pics.
What rack are you using? I am converting to rack and pinion, and I think I am going to try the rack out of an 1986 generation toyota tercel. they came manual, the track is only a little larger than the 510, and everything is where it should be for the linkage etc...

RE: Here
Yeah so the last couple days I've been killing all the rust in my engine bay. I had to fix a big spot on the front frame rail, from first glance it looked like surface rust, once I started diging into it I found 9 inches of missing frame rail, I spent about 1 hour patching it in. I figured it was behind the intercooler and under the radiator so it didn't have to make it look good just has to surve its purpuse of strength. Besides its my daily driver I'll probobly reck it way before it rust's completely out.
The rack is the 200sx one I've been messing around with for the last 3 months we'll see how it works. I had to modify the 200 crossmember but it fits now.
When jason posts the pics you can see all the work me naz and shane did. Hopefully tonight we'll paint it tonight.

RE: More Pics
Last night I bolted a the trinkets back in the engine bay. Tonight I have to put a few new gaskets on my sr and do some finishing tuches on my crossmember. Swing it in on saturday and, then hopefully start on the wiring.
